1. Scope
These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed through mappamuse.zzd.ch. By placing an order, you accept these terms. Only these Terms & Conditions apply; any conflicting or deviating terms of the customer are not recognized.

3. Products and Pricing
We offer personalized map products (physical prints and digital downloads) in different formats. The binding product description, availability, and total price applicable to your order are shown at checkout before you place your order. The prices displayed at the time of order apply.
4. Orders and Contract Formation
The presentation of products on our website does not constitute a legally binding offer, but an invitation to place an order (invitatio ad offerendum). By submitting an order, you make a binding purchase offer. The contract is formed upon payment confirmation by our payment service provider Stripe. You will receive an order confirmation by email. MappaMuse reserves the right to refuse orders without stating reasons.
5. Payment
Payment is processed via Stripe Checkout. We accept the following payment methods: • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) • TWINT • Other payment methods supported by Stripe Charges are made at the time of order. All transactions are SSL-encrypted and PCI DSS compliant.
6. Shipping and Delivery
• Delivery area: Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, and Italy • Estimated delivery time: 5–10 business days after payment receipt • Shipping costs: Included in the price • Shipping method: Shipped in a sturdy poster tube via local carriers Delivery times are non-binding estimates and do not constitute guaranteed dates. We will notify you of any significant delays. In case of visible transport damage, please report the damage to the carrier immediately and contact us without delay.
7. Right of Withdrawal and Returns
For customers residing in Switzerland, there is generally no statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases. For consumers residing in Germany, France, Italy, or Austria, mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country of residence remain unaffected. For customized products made to customer specifications, the right of withdrawal is excluded (e.g. § 312g Abs. 2 Nr. 1 BGB (DE), Art. L221-28 Code de la consommation (FR), Art. 59 Codice del Consumo (IT), § 18 Abs. 1 Z 3 FAGG (AT)). In case of defects (printing errors, damage during shipping), you may file a complaint within 30 days of receipt. We will send a free replacement or refund the purchase price, at our discretion. 8. Cancellation
Cancellation is possible as long as production has not yet started. Please contact us as soon as possible by email. Upon successful cancellation, we refund the full amount to the original payment method. If production has already started, cancellation is excluded.
9. Refunds
Refunds are processed within 10 business days to the original payment method. Refunds are issued in the original order currency.
10. Warranty and Notice of Defects
The warranty period is two years from delivery (Art. 210 CO). The customer must inspect the goods upon receipt and report any defects immediately (Art. 201 CO). Hidden defects must be reported without delay after discovery. If the customer fails to report defects in a timely manner, the goods are deemed approved. For justified complaints, we replace the product or refund the purchase price, at our discretion.
11. Color Accuracy and Product Description
Colors may vary depending on the screen, calibration, and ambient lighting. We cannot guarantee an exact match between the on-screen display and the printed product. Minor color variations do not constitute a defect. Map data is based on OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL). We do not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of the displayed geodata. Deviations between the map representation and actual geography do not constitute a defect.
12. Liability
MappaMuse's liability for contractual breaches as well as tortious acts is limited to the respective order value. MappaMuse is not liable for indirect damages, consequential damages, or lost profits, unless caused by intent or gross negligence. Liability for personal injury and mandatory liability under the Swiss Product Liability Act (PrHG) remain unaffected. MappaMuse is not liable for website availability or technical disruptions.
13. Intellectual Property
Map data is sourced from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL). The design and layout of posters and the MappaMuse branding are protected by copyright. Purchased posters may be used for personal use but may not be commercially redistributed.
14. Customer Content and Responsibility
The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the delivery address and order details provided. MappaMuse is not liable for delivery delays or incorrect deliveries due to erroneous customer information. The customer is solely responsible for all content they enter (title, subtitle, QR code links). The customer warrants that their content does not infringe any third-party rights and is not unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable. MappaMuse reserves the right to refuse orders with unlawful or objectionable content without refund. The customer indemnifies MappaMuse against all third-party claims arising from customer content.
15. Digital Products
For digital downloads (PDF): by clicking "Download" or upon provision of the download link, the customer expressly consents to immediate commencement of contract performance and acknowledges that any right of withdrawal is thereby extinguished to the extent permitted by law. The digital content is not delivered on a physical medium. Use of digital downloads is limited to personal use. Commercial redistribution is prohibited.
16. Discounts and Promotions
Volume discounts (10% for 2+ posters, 15% for 3+ posters) are applied automatically at checkout. Discounts cannot be combined with other promotions unless expressly stated otherwise. MappaMuse reserves the right to modify or discontinue promotions at any time.
17. Force Majeure
MappaMuse is not liable for delays or non-performance due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government measures, supply chain disruptions, failures of third-party providers or communication networks. If the force majeure event lasts longer than 60 days, either party may withdraw from the contract.
18. Minimum Age
To use our shop and place orders, you must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a legal guardian.
19. Data Protection
Details on the processing of personal data can be found in our Privacy Policy.
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is or becomes invalid in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid provision.
21. Amendments
MappaMuse reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The Terms & Conditions in effect at the time of the order shall apply. Material changes will be announced on the website.
22. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Swiss law applies exclusively, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and excluding conflict-of-law rules. For consumers habitually residing in Germany, France, Italy, or Austria, mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country remain unaffected. The place of jurisdiction is the registered seat of MappaMuse in Switzerland, unless mandatory jurisdiction rules provide otherwise. For consumers in Switzerland, the place of jurisdiction is the consumer's domicile or the registered seat of MappaMuse (Art. 32 CPC).
